I'm Eric Stein, a California-bred, Oslo-based creative and UI/UX designer with particular passions for branding, marketing strategy, and entrepreneurship. My work consistently reflects my multidisciplinary background in economics, marketing, and design. Currently, I'm completing my MSc in Strategic Marketing Management as a Presidential Scholarship Recipient at BI Norwegian Business School. I received a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business from UC San Diego. As an undergrad student, I studied abroad in London (LSE) and Paris (Sciences Po).
After graduation, I worked for a startup in Copenhagen for ~8 months managing their US launch, and transitioning into a UI/UX design role. Since leaving Copenhagen last March, I spent ~2.5 months traveling through Southeast Asia and Australia as a remote employee. While in the US during the summer of 2017, I began studying formally studying UX design through Designlab. I have also a part of the team at Shindig, a Melbourne-based startup that will revolutionize the way independent businesses connect with their customers.
Currently, I am working as a Junior Advisor and "Millennial Mind" at X.Y.ZERO.ONE (formerly known as thebrandproject*), where leading brand minds, technology experts, design magicians and business strategist not only talk together. I have been an integral part of projects like formulating a complete brand strategy for KONGSBERG Digital (KDI)'s Kognifai, working alongside the fast-moving Norwegian fintech Norwegian startup Instabank, and managing the UX process for an internal AI-driven fitness application.
Aside from my professional interests, I enjoy blogging about my travels, shooting film photography, cooking, and I have an undying devotion to discover the best local craft coffee and beer.
