why film?

Back in June of 2016, I walked into a Santa Cruz thrift shop. A few minutes and $35 later, I was the proud owner of an Olympus OM-2. I put some film in the old camera from 1982 and began to point and shoot. The result has been a newfound passion for photography.

Film is an entirely unique way to capture a moment. By being constricted by the number of shots on a single roll of film, it forces me to ensure each and every shot is nothing short of "perfect." This has sharped the focus of my creative eye and has, quite literally, enabled me to see the world differently.

This camera has been one of the best investments I have ever made. After you see my photographs, I hope they inspire you to agree with me.
